THE RIGHT TRACK

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and the topic was very positive, something that would even prove favorable to the individual you was talking too? But their reaction to the positive information was filled with doubt, reservation and negative. For example they were told they were about to receive a million dollars in gold bars with no strings attached. Immediately they began to give every reason in the book why it should be given in cash and they are unsure if they should take the gold bars because there must be something wrong with gold. That may be an extreme case but I would bet you know someone like that or it may very well be you.

We characterize them as having a negative attitude. That is because so many negative seeds have been sown in their spirit producing weeds, and thorns (negative beliefs and expectations) which has resulted in negative tracks being formed in their mind. They are not negative about everything, but enough to keep them from grasping good success in various areas of their life. It may be in a relationship or career. But all in all a negative track will hold you back, keep you down and bring poor results. Everything positive received falls on a negative track taking you in a negative direction. If your life is the train and your mind have more negative tracks that will take you to failure than success and you keep working to improve the performance of the train you are wasting your time. What does it profit to keep working on the train if you are on the wrong track? You are only going to get poor results in the end. So let’s rip those old negative tracks out and replace them with new positive tracks that lead to prosperity and success.

The greatest barrier to doing that is that most people don’t know or believe they have these negative tracks. But one thing I do know, the majority of people want to do better in their life than how they are doing right now. With our focus on doing better and being successful and prosperous let’s begin by checking our words in conversation. Are you thinking and speaking in a negative way? A sign of maturity is when you can guard your words and speak life instead of doom. The Bible gives us a snap shot of what the progression of your conversation should be when you are mature. 1Corithians 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. A child speaks first without understanding or thinking, but if you are mature it is reversed. You will think first, understand the content and context of the words you are about to speak ensuring they are positive, and then you speak.

If you follow and practice this process daily, THINK, UNDERSTAND (staying positive), and then SPEAK, you will find in a short period of time those negative tracks will be eliminated and new positive tracks formed that will take you to success, prosperity and a happier life. God bless you and have a wonderful day.
